| The villa The Villa St. Hubert is in St Nectaire Le Haut, superbly located in the heart of the Auvergne, Puy the Dôme, at the foot of the mountain 'le Mont Cornadore'.
From May 2005 the Villa's doors are open to welcome you as our guest, in a comfortable and typically French atmosphere. A little history The building dates from 1730. At that time it was an ordinary rural home. Just over a century later, around 1850, a wealthy Parisian renovated and rebuilt the house, transforming it into a splendid villa. In the 1950s the villa was divided into seven apartments that were let mainly during the summer months and without permanent occupation. The current owners, Frank Schmidt and Dominique Koolloos, purchased the villa at the beginning of 2004. Its original style had been lost and it was rather run down, with wear and tear due to the many years of letting. The villa re-established In 2004/2005 a thorough, mainly internal, renovation took place. All the original and beautiful traditional details were repaired or revealed: many had been hidden by false partitions and ceilings. So now the Villa St. Hubert opens its doors again with pride and comfort, to welcome you as our guest. Come and enjoy the peace, the space, and splendour of the Villa's former self. |
